NEW cover design

So when I read the copy of Habitat I thought of a black cover with a bit taken out of it. Then I kept thinking of "coding corn" and having a wireframe of a cob comprised of code (but I don't have the time or skill for that).  So I decided to fuse the two ideas I had and coded green beans.
I also realized that as I  was designing the pages within the cover didn't really go with the rest of the magazine. thoughts?

Bains-Ad

Update on my Advertisement, feedback on the "Sign Out and Drop in" please I can't decide if this works or doesn't work, and does the "IN" blend too much with the background.

Brannelly Spreads PLEASE CRITIQUE

Hello Everyone! I hate MIS as I am sure most of you do as well. I am sending my final PDF to Staples this afternoon/tonight. Here are my final spreads. I REALLY would appreciate any and ALL feedback on last minute tweaks/fixes or any major problems. I am 95% satisfied and just could either use some critiques or some reinforcement on what did work well. Thanks!

Brannelly Last Minute Feedback

Hey I know I am cutting it very last minute. I am sending my final versions to the printers tomorrow afternoon (well actually today as it is very early morning Wednesday right now), so I thought I would ask for any final feedback on some of my department articles. The recipe and the workout will appear as a spread that is why I chose not to keep the split image design theme for the workout page. I thought it would be too much and one of the pages needed to be toned down. Any and all feedback, hopefully early, is appreciated! Thanks! :)

Said- Ad and department update

hey guys just wanted to see what you thought about my department article and ad. I am working on getting better logo files or just recreating them in illustrator. Do you think the left alignment is hard to read with the logo to the right of the text? let me know

Color change

Hello again,

I changed the color of the berries. I saw "golden raspberries" at the store the other day and thought why not just change the color to match my color scheme! Too much? Or good? I did not like the red, but I like the picture alot.

Hello all!

I worked on a spread and would like some feedback on it. I'm not sure how I feel about it. I'm not sure if the color of the berries throws the color scheme off.

Also, I have my PSA which will go on the back cover of the magazine. I used the organization I came up with for another classes project.
Let me know what you thin! Thanks!

Ticas_Final Reworks!

Hello class! I have been reworking and reworking! But kinda stuck, so really need your help here! I reworked the TOC based on Coni's comments and Brittney's. I made the article on the left smaller in size, and changed it to "The future of farms" instead of the "The New Face of Hunger." Also made the date and "Habitat" smaller to be more subtle. Thoughts? Improvement? Also fixed the image so the bind will not cut off her face ;)

The second is my Editor's note/mini article. I'm really struggling with this layout and trying to make it work together. I tried so many different things. Lastly, I ended up with this. But I still feel I need a little more. Suggestions?

Lastly, my AD. Yes, totally different from last week's post because after last class during our critiques, I got so inspired to make a clothing AD based on recycled clothing. Which is perfect for my audience because they love fashion. Meet Ziemia! (means Earth in polish) "Recycled and Renewed.
Ziemia strives to create high-quality, Eco-friendly clothing in a sustainable manner, and still make it cute and fashionable all while protecting the Earth!" I wanted to create something fun, edgy, and playful.

Can't wait to hear you guys!
Thanks!
