Nazar TOC and Cover Update

Hi All -
I started my design with the idea that my demographic would likely utilize a mobile device of some kind to view an online version of the magazine. That idea has translated further into a more print to web layout, including my table of contents and my updated cover.

It is structured but its still playful, the typography and iconography come through along with strong imagery to compliment articles.

I'm still not sure about the background being white on the TOC, any suggestions are welcome!

Hey Guys what are your thoughts for the table of contents? I think I am going to use this color green in my color palette instead of the more limey tone.  I think the jeweled tone reflects the wealth and sophistication of my target audience more.  I liked the image because the seeds blowing away represents rebirth and change in the future.  Let me know what you think.

Roy - TOC

HI FRIENDS!

Here is my TOC for the magazine (:
Just a reminder my target audience is basically a modern day hipster/hippie who is a super trendy 21-29 year old and they really care about the environment, being healthy, and living organically.

Hey guys!

The inspiration for my table of contents page came from "allyou magazine". They use chunking and big photos to engage the reader and I really tried that here. I did try to just have a list, but it was very basic and boring and not what I wanted. I'm wondering if there is too much negative space, or if the negative space works. I also am not completely sold yet on having a 12 page magazine, and if I have time, I might make it 16 pages, which means this page could be filled up more. Feedback would be great! I struggled with this one.

Izzy _ Department Redesign

I redid my entire department to fit more of my farm to table urban city dwellers target audience, a few things I changed were;

-I redesigned my icon and department tag
-I broke the grid to make a more organic look for the content spread across the page
-I also updated my color palette changing the blue to red since it fits more with my images i've narrowed down

please give me your feedback on what you think as an overall design, the colors, the title and what works or what needs to be changed in the title . Also do you guys think i should switch the red part of the title to white and the white to red so "Under" and "Looked" will be in red?

Also should I rename the department "HEALTHY CORNER" instead of "HEALTH" CORNER?

Perricone TOC

Hey Everyone ! So this is my table of contents, I kept a lot of the same themes i've used throughout my version of HABITAT, let me know what you think! I'm still making some adjustments but I wanted to get it up here so I could get some feedback and make some changes before class tomorrow, see you all then!

Brannelly TOC

Hey guys! A reminder of my target audience: fitness enthusiasts, ages early 20s to mid 30s. Let me know what you think of this layout for my TOC. Any and all feedback is much appreciated! :)

Ticas_Rework

Hello class! These are my reworks based on feedback. But more feedback would be awesome. I have kinda of completely changed the feature, just because I was having a hard time using the previous image, and making it look like a feature. In my previous exercises, I liked the "Hunger" big and bold and went with this idea. And took away the other photo and focused more on the boy and placed him so it can lead the eye to the quote. I also reworked the cover, making the type more expressive and fun. And made the masthead bigger.

Question: does the line at the bottom work better here for the department? This line keeps giving me trouble. thoughts?

The last one is the start of my TOC. Still in the works, so suggestions here would be awesome :)

See you in class!
Thanks!

I have redone my cover to fit my target audience. It is straight forward, thought provoking and uses the imagery to emphasize the text. Feedback is always welcome!

Best,
