This PSA is very successful. The image is powerful and bold against the black background, instantly grabs attention. The logo placement works well too, not sure if you chose the colors but the red against the black doesn't compete with the image but it doesn't hide in the corner. And as Chris said that quote sits well in the negative space.
Michael – we spoke in class about how this design could sit in relation to the opposite page design. Last I knew you were looking at replacing the animal, and I advised you to replace the heavy dominate “black” in the background with a sky, or something less severe, thinking that would make this PSA more companionable with the other page of the spread.
Hey Michael,
ReplyDeleteI love the PSA. It utilizes the negative space and engages with the reader. I also like that you took the type color from the eye.
Is the PSA going to be on the back cover? If so, I feel that I will work well with your revised cover.
Best,
Chris
