Michael Eggerl - Letter from the Editor v3

v3 (Below): Based on feedback received.

v2 (Below): Added the department tagline in the upper left.

I know this isn't my TOC, PSA, or Paid Ad, but I completed my "Letter from the Editor," page and wanted some feedback.  It's graphic intensive but also provides a clean and easy to read section.  The page, in general, depicts the style and design of the magazine.

  1. Michael – so, I can see that this editor has no ego problem… kidding of course. The image is simply too large to be an editor’s portrait. The size of this image says “look at me, look at me” and only a feature article would want to do that. No editor in his right mind would allow a portrait that big… unless the theme of the magazine was about HIM. So – reduce this model-quality portrait and introduce some neg space on the page and you’ll have a great editor’s note design.

I haven’t had a chance to read this, but I assume it relates to the content of your magazine. I’d like to read it tomorrow in class, please give it to me.
